CA Coastal Commission

2015 Sponsorship
San Diego, CA

Rubio’s is proud to announce its 2015 partnership with the California Coastal Commission! We are extremely excited to team up to keep our shorelines and ocean clean and healthy.

Every year, on the third Saturday in September, people join together at sites all over California to take part in the State's largest volunteer event, California Coastal Cleanup Day. The cleanup in 2014 had the largest geographic reach than ever achieved. It was celebrated at 850 coastal and inland sites, totaling over 60,000 volunteers removed over 1,000,000 pounds of trash and recyclables from California's beaches, lakes, and waterways.

Families, friends, coworkers, scout troops, school groups, service clubs, and individuals come together to celebrate and share their appreciation of California's fabulous coast and waterways. The event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, organized by the Ocean Conservancy, which is the largest volunteer event on the planet!
