Neurofibromatosis WalkMay 14th, 2011 Rubio's participated in the 6th Annual NF 5K Walk sponsored by the Children's Tumor Foundation. The NF Walk is a national program that raises both awareness and critical funds to support the hundreds of thousands of adults, children and families who battle Neurofibromatosis (NF) every day. NF causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and can lead to blindness, loss of hearing, learning disabilities, skeletal defects, and many other serious complications. Funds raised through the NF Walk program support the Children's Tumor Foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds world-class research into NF therapies to treat and eventually cure NF. P.A.M's RunFeb 12th, 2011 For the second year in a row, Rubio's participated in The Annual P.A.M.'s Run took place in Westlake Village, sponsored by the California Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk and hosted by the Lustgarten Foundation. This is the 3rd year that the city hosted this major event making it an enjoyable way to heighten awareness of this disease and raise critically needed funds for research.
